How does the SPI SURF SHUTTLE work?

When you book a shared shuttle ride with us, you will be grouped with other travelers headed in the same direction, within the same timeframe. Depending on the time of day, seasonality, and number of travelers, your shuttle may make a few stops along the way to pick up, or drop off, fellow passengers. We are a door-to-door service to and from South Padre Island.

We recommend booking soon after you get your plane tickets, especially for larger groups.
We have 3 vans that can take 14 – 11 – 6 passengers, so 30 people with luggage in one trip.

We recommend always booking in advance to ensure availability but if you find yourself needing a last-minute ride, please give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate IF POSSIBLE.

Yes, you can book for single passengers on our website.

24/7/365 but we do charge an extra $20 for pickups before 6 AM and after 10 PM. Limited availability on holidays.
Rates are dependent on the amount of people that you are traveling with, and whether you’re placing an order for a one-way trip or round trip and the airport.
Yes, it is an extra $75 per van each way.
If you experience a delay or your flight is canceled, please contact us right away (text is best, but you can also call or email us) and we will accommodate accordingly.

If 2 or more passengers, we can offer a 10 percent discount if you’re booking round-trip transportation. Please text us to get the latest promo code.

Once you exit the airport by the door nearest to the baggage claim, follow the walkway to the taxis by the blue awning. You will find us parked in that area.

If you are flying in/out of Harlingen, the drive is 55-60 minutes. If you are flying in/out of Brownsville, the drive is approximately 35-45 minutes depending on traffic.
We are a door to door service so we will drop off wherever you are staying and pick up wherever you tell us.
Wait time is minimal, we group people by flights so that you only have to wait about 10 minutes. Occasionally, if we experience delays we may have to add a passenger or passengers from another flight. If this happens, we will let you know and it will not be any longer than 20 minute wait time.

Occasionally, we can stop for 10 minutes between rides but this depends on our premade schedule. It’s best to include a note (under the special requirements box) when placing the order or send us a text 48 hours before arrival so that we can arrange for it or let you know if you will need to get delivery service.
